What's responsibility?
Wow big day..
Made it to Banff because Bonnie's mom was kind enough to drive the 9-hour round trip to pick us up and, even more than that, loaned us her car as long as we needed it! So nice. My car is, however, still stuck in Montana being "stored" in the bartender's backyard. Not cool. No choice. Man.....So within a few days, I have to drive all the way back down there, hopefully with Bonnie, and pick my car up. No fun. On the good side, I'm invited to Bonnie's workplace on Thanksgiving Monday to have dinner. I didn't think I would be able to go, but Steve (my boss), said he would give me any day off I needed to pick my car up (understanding that I'm not comfortable with it where it is) including Thanksgiving Monday. Very cool. Now i can do both probably. Will talk to him tomorrow.
Today I spent 3 hours talking with Steve about my job and the training and taking the tour and everything else. My job is definitely going to be very cool and he hopes that Jan 1 would be the absolute latest day that I would be a full manager. My job basically encompasses the entire restaruant. Steve is the General Manager, and myself and Trevor will be the Asst. General Managers. Pretty awesome. I do a lot of stuff....a lot...a whole lot. Going to be very busy, but also very challenging and, i hope, rewarding.
On housing news, I'm in a pretty...liveable....place right now (sense the euphemism?). The good news is I will most likely have it to myself soon. And shortly after that, I should be moving to a higher quality residence. The worst part for now? Horror of horrors, I can't have overnight visitors of the opposite sex!!! Thanks god that will quickly be remedied.
Bob seems to be having good luck with jobs, hopefully he also finds good luck with housing. The job almost-offers he has are all in Calgary and the commute is simply too far because the job is on the wrong side of town. Too bad. Still can work though.
Overall, I'd say things are looking up.

yay thanksgiving! and it's funny that after all of this effort on both of our parts to get jobs within driving distance, that i too am in a liveable place where visitors are not allowed to spend the night. grood times.
yay thanksgiving! i think that the food will actually be decent too. the new cooks that we got in make things like veal with scalloped potatoes, 5 kinds of veggies, 3 kinds of sauces, 4 kinds of salads and 8 kinds of dressings. plus many, many desserts. heh.
*sigh*, pumpkin pie, how i miss you. but wait a sec, I was able to spend five days in Beijing. I think I can handle that trade-off.
Happy thanksgiving, guy!
send me your new address as I have something for you!
